Dj tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Above and Beyond, DJ Shah these may be just names for few but for me these are more than normal people, they contain supernatural authority to make anyone and every one surrender to the divine music they produce. So I have given up, I have given up my life to thee …TRANCE MUSIC the heavenly feeling if there exist on the earth.

The love for trance has reached such a pinnacle it has transformed into taking a big step… that is to create abode for all the trance lovers around the world www.trancehub.com. That’s something that I was working on for along time, it has finally come into existence. Wow wasn’t it a great feeling when it went live!!! 6th October 2007 12 am all bliss came into us we three Apoorv, Priyank and me, a dream come true

So let me take you through a small recap of how exactly it happened… we always shared this love of trance and always wanted to give back the music genre that has changed our lives. So we decided … We will launch INDIAS FIRST TRANCE MUSIC COMMUNITY. Then all the task of getting together formulating the website, what should it have what it shouldn’t … we tried to contact DJs for interviews. Tried two cracked one, Richard Durand was in India then, we decided it was a great time to launch the site, neither we got his interview nor the website started then. Then the SOLE MESSIAH,  DJ SHAH gave us the much-needed break, Our first interview, like a true professional and the guy from the same soil he lived up to his words and gave us really informative and a precise interview. We thought lets have more!! Then came  ZARA TAYLOR wow. The zesty singer just made our website red hot with an amazing sound clip exclusively for us. We thought we were big already.

Also with emails pouring we’d reached almost 150 at the site launch day. Incredible experience putting the whole site together and the love for trance just getting bigger!! Let me thank Priyank and Apoorv for the fantastic support and reviving that trance- being in me .

So today the site has Interviews of DJ SHAH , Zara Taylor, IN search of sunrise 6 review and much more …it also has a  forum which will be the platform to make Trance big in India, I urge people to join it and actively participate and make the dream come true. TRANCE IS LIFE and LIFE IS A TRANCE

Cheers!

THANKS for all the motivations and feedbacks

THE NEW GENERATION

Can you believe that … six sixes in an over and the worlds fastest fifty …phenomenal work YUVI …GREAT WORK TEAM INDIA

SO does this mark the dawn of a new era of Indian cricket … just sheer talent and brilliance the bold attitude and world class outlook

When i look back at Indian cricket i can distinctly remember the three great eras … the KAPIL DEV era, the AZHAR era and then the SACHIN era … all of the three were marked by some hero or the other that carried the brunt of the whole team … Kapil either had himself or Sunil Gavaskar …Azhar had Kapil for sometime and then himself and then there was just SACHIN all the way … he undoubtedly took world cricket by storm. if he played well India always won…just the sheer presence at the crease instilled hopes in billions about victory

BUT YES this is the new era … with no super stars, no heroes just sheer talent and the boldness to beat down any good side on any day …. a good decent captain who’s ready to share the credit with the team and players who are from small towns and want to make it big in life ..they have no worries, no backlogs but big aspirations

Heres to the Aussies “UP YOURS!!!” and here wishing India Best of luck for the finals and we are sure youll do us proud

CLEAN UP YOUR SOCKS !

Before starting let me confess this is not my original idea …it’s borrowed from a friend who’s too lazy to write even a page! Oh yes Shivangi, would have loved it if it came from your pen, let it be now thanks for the really interesting idea and I will try to do justice to your thought …let see how successful I am!

I guess it’s really very important that with the exceptional quantitative growth of our country, it is also important that we grow qualitatively, become better and more responsible citizens, let the country grow with helping the government in terms of development of infrastructural projects which in turn will help us later. So while talking to Shivangi I came across this real weird or rather interesting thought, a very interesting comparison between EDUCATION, STANDARD of LIVING and CLEANLINESS

Its inevitable that the more money you have the better your lifestyle gets, you try to look good, have a better cell phone, buy a bigger car, go around with people of your class, show off, so invariably the lifestyle becomes royal… but you still do things that your servant, a beggar or a hawker does… you litter the place!! Be it a cigarette bud, a chips packet that goes down on the road and not in the dustbin. So is it improvement in life but you still are the same gawaar as you still were, your habits don’t yet match the upper class. Do they??

Now take another scenario, the youth of the country is said to be highly educated, more than 2 lakh people appeared for CAT last year, around 350000 engineers pass out in a year, around 40 lakh college graduates in a year, these days its become a fad to talk against the system… the education system is crap, it only meant for muggers. But have you done that one important thing every teacher taught you… throw trash in a bin!!! You never did it…chocolate wrappers, chips, paper goes down the road, down everywhere but the dustbin, and we still are proud to say we are MBA’s, engineers… if you are one please behave like one!! Or please give away your degrees and go back sweeping or rag picking

One thing these days I get really frustrated seeing is …young parents don’t even care their kids throwing litter on the road in the room or everywhere, agreed you never learned the manners please teach ‘them’ for god sake!! The other crap thought I come across is “USNEY BHI NEECHE PHEKA TOH MAI KYU NAHI PHEKOO” so the next time you get to know that “Woh” loves to pee on the road try that too. C’mon that’s a point of view of the uneducated, education empowers you think for yourself so kindly think for your self and not the others!!!

Quite an hard hitting article this has become so let me just close down wit a debate, so heres the problem… we need to get cleaner, in our habit as well as in our thoughts… should we come out yet another campaign that educates you not to litter and go in vain, or should we have police kicking you’re butt for every trash that you throw on road. So the debate is open come up with solutions and lets see if we can make it big time remember more than a 100 people will read this article at least and one of them could be an influential person somewhere !!

MODERN WRITERS BEST FRIEND

I am not sure if I have some sort of brain malfunction or if I might have missed some critical years of schooling during a traumatic time in my life or maybe I just have an incredibly lazy brain, but I can’t spell! Well for all the people who always thought I was a brilliant student but I never got the marks I deserved, heres the reason why:

I fucking can’t ‘SPELL IT RIGHT’

This is the 5th year of my life where I have written a lot, right from the first year BMM to the 2nd year MBA there have been assignments, projects, reviews and so much more to write. I had a habit which I guess is rather quite strange but true. In a way its also a confession …. In the last 5 years every damn assignment or project done by me had one spelling mistake or error in it and that too at the most crucial spot be it the front page or the best quote or the caption, if its Nikhil’s project it has to have some error or it ain’t complete

This post is a dedication to the best invention in the world for people like me. It not only helps me to hide my disability but it gives me that support that yes you cannot just pretend but prove it to the world, that I can write and write as well as anybody around. Put your hands up guys the AWARD for the best invention for the modern writer goes to MS WORD. Life would have been full of spelling errors wthoiut yu !!!

So any of you who think the same of support me on this thought write down your views on the MICROSOFT WORD arguably world best typing software !!!

My TRAVELOGUE

Yet again I bring out the ‘ME’ in me, yet again a post that describes what I am doing what I have been through off late. But this post has got a good long history behind it. Well thanks to both the colleges I have been too. They have given me this opportunity to travel, travel and travel more …. So here’s a post that takes you on a travelogue of what, where, when have I traveled almost all across the country in the last 4 years

So its 2003, I joined my BMM course at GN Khalsa college, always heard about the senior batch going to Manali, Kolkotta and where not. Waited for that moment to come, there it arrived…my first trip with the college HYDERABAD, a place where I had been before stayed for almost a month. But this time the plot was different I stayed at RAMOJI FILM CITY, so a dormitory where 12 people stayed together in a large room, no doubt one of the best trips in my life thanks to pritesh, amit, apoorv lol it was sure a blast.

f1090013.jpgThe same year I get an opportunity to visit another place….AGRA, MATHURA and Delhi… mann I got pissed off, Delhi is like my native place and damn I go there every year, but mathura and agra were new …had a great time there too !! remember the swimming pool kaand and the neelaam 2599 rap! wow so 3 trips in 1.5 years, so lets make it 4 in 2 ….4th trip was a long one ….OOTY, MYSORE, KODAI KANAL, BANGALORE…10 days of shit cold weather, 10 days of unplanned room settings, 200 students together, my first encounter with the pub, and probably the longest train journey of more than 28 hours.

2006 my last year in college, like every student in Mumbai wants to go to just one place, we went there too “GOA”…. Frankly one of the most unplanned trip but a great one again…the bikinis, the firangis, the powder in the room and the colgate in the hair was just memorable, but as soon as we come back from Goa …BREAKING NEWS – LAST class visit to KERALA. Wow a 7 day trip with the most beautiful hotels, most striking landscapes and most emotional evenings. Kerala is even more beautiful than they show in movies and postcards…. Go there it’s bliss…

Yet again my B school last year took me to GOA….this time it was booze, beaches, trance, mambos the most chilled out tour… cant believe I almost finished a bottle of vodka …mann its time I don’t drink for a couple of months now….again great company, great hotel and a great experience

Oh when I look back now….6 trips in a matter of 4 years, truly Ive been such a vivid traveler and I always hope that I keep on going places in every phase of life. I have seen almost the whole of India but not the east and the northern hill stations…..I am sure ill visit there soon, my next boss keep take a note if this !!

Now its your turn …. Jot down one of traveling experience you always cherish and one place you always wanted to visit ….

BAJAATE RAHO…

Life in a city is full of events and actions. There’s something or the other happening all over the city that keeps you entertained day in and day out. …Or rather there have been things created to keep you entertained all the while …. So what would you do if you are a poor reader and there’s no TV around …what are the ways you’ll keep yourself entertained …well I guess that’s how radio got invented …well I agree in the west radio played a huge role in both the world wars and in India radio was a huge source of news when it came to the Indian world cup victory 1983. …But go back in the 1990’s radio went into hibernation as if it was the coldest winter it ever had. But the sun rose from the east. Came 2000 and the 1st five years have seen a huge boom in the radio industry.

All the media houses leveraged into big radio stations, 1st in the race TIMES OF INDIA initiating Radio Mirchi, which is said to be the most heard radio station in the country. Then there were a host of other players coming in the latest one being Hindustan times in association with Virgin Radio FEVER FM an instant hit amongst the biggest metros for the reason it plays the most music!! Some facts on the industry India’s radio industry is projected to post a robust growth of 32 per cent over the next few years to touch Rs.12 billion in revenues by 2010 and 338 FM radio licenses for bidding for the private players, that’s enormous!!!

red.jpgI’ve been really excited with the present radio scene so I decided to do a small survey amongst people on why they think radio is picked up so much the answers I got were amusing too. Some of my friends Kunal, Angika, Shivangi and Rahul said that “RJ’s play a very crucial role in a radio station its up to them to keep the viewers glued to one channel and off course radio is known for music as well so both come together to make a deadly combination, while in the past government radio AIR played real old songs therefore it so boring, new radio stations play fresh music and make the environment exciting”. Another friend of mine Pranshu had this really interesting thought he said “ Radio is LIVE, its happening and its at your face, you can quite relate to it and its mentally un-taxing” yes that’s a big reason for the success of radio

My perception goes this way. I quite agree to what Pranshu said, with Television becoming boring, its quite become impossible to watch TV at night, radio is a huge option to connect, yes its live and you don’t have to remember anything like what happened in the previous episode, what will happen next also with a vast penetration of radio in mobile phones radio is a the best travel buster. Just put it on and a one-hour journey sings and rhymes with you. Also very clever of the radio makers to keep so many contests and sneakers like JAM BUSTERS, things like KAMLA ka HAMLA which add to the overall facet of a radio channel. Radio is growing and here to stay to become a integral part of our lives… tune in and as they say BAJAATE RAHO !!

Brands, products, hoardings, advertisements …they are just everywhere. We are flooded with promotions …buy one get one free, discount rates touching 50%, but you don’t run after everyone, there has to be that something extra special to magnetize you. That is why ideas like thanda matlab coca cola and I am what I am, are always edged onto your mind…. So lets sit back look at the biggest promotional success that have taken place in our country. So here’s a brief on the best Indian marketing campaign of the recent era Let me start with the best of all -

Britannia khaao world cup jaao

Yes cricket is our religion, after God cricket is the most emotional string that is attached to our county. So what will every Indian dream of if the next world cup is in England??? Yes that’s what Britannia did ….buy biscuits, complete a 100 points and fly to England to see India vs. England live at The Lords. It spread like wild fire, everywhere there were people buying Britannia biscuits, jams, cheese et al to get the scratch book and stand a chance to reach England…. According to the stats, Britannia’s sales went up by 37% in a matter of 5 months. For me this was the best ever promotional campaign by a company – right time, right cause, right execution, right is just the right word here. For me this was the best marketing stunt of the recent years

- McDonald’s Happy mealb.jpg

Kids are always fascinated by the thought of going out and having dinner, McDonalds just made it mandatory for them to just come to one place… the one meal and the one toy saga. Mcdonalds still is the most popular eat out places for the kids, its just amazing the way they come out with the new toys and keep the kids hooked and crazy about them -

Reliance mobiles for Rs 500!!

Wow can you believe selling 2.75 lakh handsets in 3 days, yes that’s a world record and that is owned by the most aggressive company in India Anil Ambani’s Reliance communications. Well it doesn’t matter what the quality of the service is but the matter of fact that they sold them all. Long queues at the reliance webworld’s, the response were just superlative. Everybody wanted a cell phone the autowalas, doodhwala ,dhobis and all get it at just Rs 500, no matter what the hidden charges were. This will go down as one of the most successful marketing stunts by any company in India

tazo.jpg- Lays and cheeto’s TAZO’s

Tazo collections, tazo wars tazo on bets, pokemon tazo… I mean it was just something kids wanted everyday. They loved it and the companies loved selling them too. All the competition wiped off just with a small toy. Phenomenal!! Real smart work by the Lays. The most peculiar thing about the whole campaign was more than advertising, word of mouth played a very important role in cracking the code… kids talk and they sell, hats off cheetos and lays !

So now its your turn…. People who think they have a good memory and a good marketing flair, write in the best marketing stunts in our country….would be interesting to read things I missed on ! Cheers!!

TIGHT AND LIMITED

A lot of time and nothing to do
A lot people and nothing to talk
A lot of wishes and none get fulfilled
A train journey is tight and limited.

Little space and so many souls.
Little scope and so many thoughts
Little way and people all scuttle
A train journey is tight and limited

You feel so uncomfortable
You feel so numb
You feel so restless
Till the station comes

You learn to be calm
You learn to amend
You want to run away
As soon as the station comes

I am in train and I am restricted
I don’t like this place and feel dampen
I hate the limit here and want to getaway
I feel so alone like a desert snake .

This is the way it is
This the way it has been
A train journey is tight and limited
