Gone are all those days when your hardwork and performance was the most visible fact in the organisation …. now the era has come that talks about brown nosing or flatter your superior to any extent possible
In the era where everybody tries to pitch in with thier own theories, brown nosing has become an art so important so that its difficuilt to get promotions, leaves and even salaries on the right time if you dont brown nose any damn official at your work place
Now what i want you guys to tell me, is the above arguement valid … is this the victory phase for the brown nosers or hard work still speaks louder than …”yes sir, ur the best sir .. you’re the greatest sir’
Yeeee-Haa! Am the first to leave a comment on your blog! And I whole-heartedly agree with you, having experienced it myself…I would say hard work still is very important. But the problem is we live in world where there is no dearth of hard working people. So get the edge you either have to be an exception or be good at brown-nosing. So for us ordinary mortals, hard work combined with brown-nosing is what is needed. Aur ho sake toh boss ki biwi aur beti ko pata ke rakhna, nothin’ better!
Nik, do not agree with you fully!! Brown-nosing will take you only till a certain step, further which its ur potentian that matters!!! guess a good mix of both is the trick!!
Hay man I don’t think that hard work can be overshadowed by any of this the only thing is the waiting period has increased as compare to past but still it has its own charm. Try it u might just like it
i wud agree with u on this, brown-nosing is a way 2 success, maybe out of every 10 guys promoted , 7 wud have been promoted due to their brown-nosing capabilities, at the same time its the other 3 outta 10 that get thru on hardwork , capability and dedication, but the fact that this doesnt constitute the majority is a worrying trend

i guess Brown nosing may help you climb the corporate ladder a little faster than others. But it definitely will be one major reason why one wouldn’t find the support of his/her colleagues. And that may spoil the work environment and life could take an unexpected turn towards disaster. Without the support of colleagues its difficult to survive in the organisation. So i’d rather be neutral to everyone than resort to Brown- Nosing

Brown nosing is meant for guilt ridden people. If you want to do it, do it. Or else your other colleague’s same act may turn you green and blue. I work under my Chariman, there are lots of personal/official things he tells me and looks for a suggestion. As a token of respect I talk soft or you can say I talk in a low pitched voice, I do nod with his ideas but I also come up with substitues which are my ideas.
My dad remains pissed off because his workmates get promtion by buttering their boss. LOL.
This feeling related to brown nosing is always going to be there until you are a boss oneday itself!
